We have compiled details of publishers and content providers who are widening access to their resources in various ways, with details of the content and measures to access them. If there are types of content that you are unable to provide lawful access to for teaching and learning, please provide us with the details by completing our short form. We will use the information in our discussions with content providers to illustrate the issues and to advocate for improvements.
Recommendations and requirements
With input from our members, a set of recommendations and requirements for publishers, content providers and system vendors has been produced in the areas of access and discovery to make the process as simple as possible for librarians, including recommendations for ensuring easy exit from temporary arrangements.
Wellcome Trust's call to share COVID-19 resources
Several publishers have signed up to the Wellcome Trust’s call to provide open content to support research into the Coronavirus pandemic, which are listed on the Trust's site.
Remote access for students outside the UK
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jisc has also developed guidance to address questions raised by Jisc member institutions - along with those brought to us on their behalf by SCONUL, RLUK & UUKi - relating to providing remote access to Jisc-licensed content to students based outside of the UK.
