SpringerNature Publishing Group publish 54 Nature Branded journals across the life, physical, applied sciences and more recently, clinical medicine. Content encompasses daily news from award-winning journalists, expert opinion, practical methodology and high impact research and reviews.
Springer Nature offers both title volume and category discounts. In addition to these discounts all institutions will benefit from a 3% fixed increase on their overall price paid for subscribed journals in the previous year. This is based on institutions renewing all titles under a three-year agreement.
Category Discounts: Platinum Plus, Platinum Legacy, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze.
Please see the Offer Document under "Agreement Information" tab below for an explanation of the category discounts in this offer.
For Nature Research and Scientific American titles, customers are given continuing rights to the years subscribed (e.g. 2022) and granted access (not continuing rights) to the four years prior (e.g. 2018-2021).
For academic journals on Nature.com, customers are given continuing rights to the years subscribed (e.g. 2022) and granted fixed access back to 1997.
Note that in 2017, only the fixed access (not continuing access) set-up for Nature-branded titles and Scientific American changed: New titles added since 2013 were granted fixed access back to 2012. This followed the removal of the four year rolling wall.
Institutions should confirm the titles they wish to subscribe to for 2022 to their named Springer Nature representative. The publisher will provide a quotation and confirm the appropriate discount and amount due.
**Please note that Compact subscribers should not renew their Academic Journals via this agreement (like in 2021) as they will be included in the Compact renewal. Non-Compact institutions should continue to renew AJs via this agreement.
Institutions should then agree their quotation with Springer Nature and, if paying via an agent, ensure the agent receives the quotation and provides the order reference number to the publisher. Please also include the date that the quote was sent (e.g. 10 December 2021) and the overall £ total of the accepted quotation when placing your order.
All orders must be confirmed on the Jisc Collections website whether payment is being made via a subscription agent or Jisc Collections. By ordering on the website, the institution confirms they have agreed the quotation provided by the publisher.
The order confirmation deadline is 18 December 2021.
