Accessibility

Silverchair's Accessibility Statement

For visually impaired:

What is the maximum font size and does text re-flow when you enlarge the font?
Silverchair uses responsive design webpages that can be rescaled to different browser sizes and devices. The fonts will scale proportionally and reflow accordingly. There aren't any in-site tools to let a user change the font size and/or colours, but many browsers/plugins allow users to do so.

Can a user change background/foreground colours or contrasts? How?
There aren't any in-site tools to do this, but many browsers/plugins allow users to do so.

Are there keyboard-only equivalents for all mouse actions? Where could I find a list? Are there short cut keys to reduce tabbing round links?
Tab, Arrows, and Enter are the commonly supported mouse actions. Silverchair supports these.

Is text marked up, so it can be navigated in a meaningful way (for example by heading level)?
Yes.

Can text be selected and read by text-to-speech tools?
Yes.

Are text descriptions available for all relevant graphics and images?
Text descriptions are available to add for all relevant graphics and images.

Where can I find guidance for all these features?
Silverchair's Accessibility Statement

Examples of accessibility features commonly employed in Silverchair software include providing text alternatives for non-text content, providing variability of content presentation through semantically marked-up structure, and careful consideration for readability as it applies to typography, colour, and contrast.
