Content before 2011 is available as pdf, which is compatible with screen reading technology, with basic metadata (title, author etc) in HTML format. Content from 2011 onwards is in both pdf and full-text HTML format.

What is the maximum font size and does text re-flow when you enlarge the font?
Text can be zoomed in-browser up to 300% and reflows. There is also the option of a simplified Reader View on article pages which, depending on the browser, can be zoomed to 500%.

Can a user change background/foreground colours or contrasts? How?
This is not possible in the main website, but is available in the Reader View in major browsers.

Are there keyboard-only equivalents for all mouse actions? Where could I find a list? Are there short cut keys to reduce tabbing round links?
The only mouse actions used on the site are scroll and click, which can be achieved via the up and down keys, tab and Enter keys. This is not currently documented. There are currently no shortcut keys that we are aware of.

Is text marked up so it can be navigated in a meaningful way (for example, by heading level)?
Yes.

Can text be selected and read by text-to-speech tools?
Yes.

Are text descriptions available for all relevant graphics and images?
Yes.
