What is the maximum font size and does text re-flow when you enlarge the font?
The text can be increased in size via the browser zoom settings, the degree will vary by browser. The text reflows when the text size is increased.
Can a user change background/foreground colours or contrasts? How?
I do not think it is possible for a user to change the colours, unless their computer/browser allows them to change these settings.
Are there keyboard-only equivalents for all mouse actions? Where could I find a list? Are there short cut keys to reduce tabbing round links?
It is possible to tab through the top level menu, but as far as I know there are no keyboard-only equivalents for all mouse actions.
Is text marked up so it can be navigated in a meaningful way (for example, by heading level)?
Text is marked up by heading level and it is possible to navigate through A-headings in the full-text.
Can text be selected and read by text-to-speech tools?
Yes.
Are text descriptions available for all relevant graphics and images?
Graphics and images have text captions and alt-tags identify the figure number.
Where can I find guidance for all these features?
I am not currently aware of a document explaining the features of the platform in relation to accessibility. If any problems are encountered, these can be raised with BSAVA (publications@bsava.com).
