African American Studies Centre

The Oxford African American Studies Centre is the online authority on the African American experience. The award-winning Oxford African American Studies Centre is a collection that focuses on the lives of over 12,000 men and women who made an impact on African American history, and events which have shaped African American and African history and culture. It provides access to the full text of the 5 volume Africana, the new 3 volume Encyclopedia of African American History, 1619-1895, and the 3 volume Black Women in America.

American National Bibliography

American Dictionary of National Biography Online is a source of information about over 19,000 people from all eras who have influenced and shaped American history and culture.

Benezit Dictionary of Artists

Benezit contains thousands of auction records, museum holdings, and bibliographies. Oxford English Dictionary

The OED Online includes the full, latest text of Oxford's largest dictionary. It is always growing, and already the equivalent of 25 large printed volumes. It includes tens of thousands of new and revised entries only available online, the data from the Historical Thesaurus of the OED (first published in print in 2009), and previous versions of entries from the 20-volume Second Edition (1989).

World Shakespeare Bibliography

The World Shakespeare Bibliography (WSB) is the premier resource for finding scholarship about Shakespeare as well as the most comprehensive database of translations, adaptations, and professional performances of his works.
