What is the maximum font size and does text re-flow when you enlarge the font?
Digitised archive documents can be enlarged within the image viewer using an on-site zoom function. The rest of the site can be enlarged using a browser zoom and text does reflow.
Can a user change background/foreground colours or contrasts? How?
Users can adjust the brightness/contrast within the image viewer using an on-site function.
Are there keyboard-only equivalents for all mouse actions? Where could I find a list? Are there short cut keys to reduce tabbing round links?
This has not been tested extensively across the site to date.
Is text marked up so it can be navigated in a meaningful way (for example by heading level)?
Text is styled and clearly organised by heading level.
Can text be selected and read by text-to-speech tools?
The original documents which are displayed through the image viewer as images do not all have transcripts, so some will not be able to be read by a text-to-speech tool. All other text across the site should be fine though, including all secondary content and all images with transcripts.
Are text descriptions available for all relevant graphics and images?
This is typically the case, although there are some images with no corresponding detailed transcript.
Where can I find guidance for all these features?
There is currently no guidance available online, queries can be addressed to OnlineSalesUK@bloomsbury.com
