The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) back file covers the 10 year period between 2004 to 2014.
ESCI is an extension of the publications in Web of Science that includes high-quality, peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields. As an index in the Web of Science Primary Collection, ESCI expands the citations and reflects the growing global body of science and scholarly activity.
ESCI includes over 7,500 new journals from over 100 countries and more than 2,700 publishers. 80% of the research output is from outside North America. The majority of the journals focus on social sciences, arts, and humanities.
Institutions receive between 30-50% discount on the list pricing.
Pricing is by quotation via Clarivate Analytics, upon request, as agreed with Jisc Collections.
Institutions taking a subscription to Citation Connection are required to purchase one of the Citation Connection back file options to activate their subscription. Institutions that have already subscribed to Citation Connection may opt to take additional back files via this agreement.
