Berg Fashion Library

Berg Fashion Library provides integrated text and image content on dress across cultures and throughout history. Including 13,000 images, the landmark 10 volume Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion, free lesson plans, more than 100 e-books, reference works, an interactive timeline, an exhibition archive and more.

Those teaching or researching anthropology, art history, history, sociology, geography, folklore, museum studies, theatre and cultural studies, as well as fashion and textiles, can use Berg Fashion Library to discover:

  • Free lesson plans, biblio guides, and other teaching resources
  • Reference works
  • Primary sources
  • A vast image bank for your research

Fairchild Books Library

The library includes a digital collection of fashion textbooks:

  • 130 digital textbooks are available via library for students
  • Textbooks are aggregated and fully indexed to provide both a learning and a reference experience
  • Textbooks are integrated with ancillaries specific to each book
  • STUDIOs allow users to personalise their study with multiple choice questions and quizzes, flashcards, video and audio resources
  • Teaching resources and lesson plans available to instructors
  • Interactive timeline provides historical context

Fashion Photography Archive

The Archive is a fully searchable and meticulously indexed resource, containing 750,000 high-quality runway, backstage and street style images that have never before been published online. These include:

  • International runway shows from the 1970s until 2000, including key designers such as McQueen, Gaultier, Westwood, Chalayan, Galliano and more
  • Rare backstage and front row shots from fashion shows of the past 40 years
  • Street-style images from fashion cities around the world

Bloomsbury Fashion Business Cases

With cases from across the fashion industry, from design and sourcing to marketing and retail, Bloomsbury Fashion Business Cases will enable students to develop essential business skills required for the next generation of fashion industry professionals to set themselves up for success.
